Graduate Teaching Community

image by sunsurfr on flickr.comAre you a graduate student or postdoc who likes teaching? Do you enjoy discussing your teaching experiences with your colleagues?

Then become a part of the Graduate Teaching Community! Coordinated by the TA Consultants and sponsored by the Professors for the Future Program, the Graduate Teaching Community is a brand new interdisciplinary collaboration designed to help graduate students reflect on their teaching practices. During our meetings, you will meet other graduate students and postdocs who are interested in becoming better educators. The group will work across disciplinary boundaries, tackling relevant teaching and learning issues. Most important, you will enjoy a supportive environment to discuss your ideas about teaching and to develop your own personal teaching style.

The group meets Mondays from 5 to 6 p.m. in Wellman 1. Join us for our first meeting of Fall Quarter 2009 on Monday, September 28! A five-week commitment is desired but not mandatory.
