Do you expect to teach undergraduates in your career?  If so, please join us for this informative and interactive nine-week series.  We will use readings, discussions, and activities to develop essential skills for designing, delivering, and evaluating effective college-level courses.  Topics will include developing course objectives, examining how students learn, creating a productive learning environment, using tools and techniques to improve communication, designing meaningful forms of testing and assessment, considering ethical issues in teaching and learning, and developing ways to promote life-long learning and self-improvement in teaching. Everyone must sign up (below) , including faculty, postdocs and graduate students who do not wish to earn transcript credit.

In addition, graduate students may earn one unit of credit by signing up for EDU 398. If you wish to register for credit, please indicate such in the sign-up form and we will send you the appropriate CRN.

NOTES: You must be available for THE ENTIRE COURSE in order to take either retreat. There are no make-up sessions. People will be admitted to the course in the order in which they sign up.
