participating in the TA Consultant Program.
TA Consultants
(TACs) work as advisors, coaches, and consultants to their fellow
Teaching Assistants on campus. Here are some of their activities:
- Participate in regular training
and professional development sessions. Learn more about teaching
and learning in the college classroom.

Plan and deliver workshops
and special programs on teaching and learning topics of interest.
- Provide individualized consultations
on teaching and teaching improvement.
Requirements
- Bring at least 3 quarters of TA
experience

Be able to invest approximately
6-7 hours per week in the program

Participate during the three weeks preceding Fall quarter and for the rest of the full academic
year (Fall/Winter/Spring quarters)
- Be regularly enrolled as a graduate student (master’s or doctoral level) during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters
Fellowship Award
TACs will receive a TA Training Graduate Fellowship of $1000 per
quarter for the 2007-2008 academic year. (This will not affect your
TA eligibility; you can still TA.)
