Sexual Harassment Education Program
The Sexual Harassment Education Program at UC Davis supports the University's commitment to a discrimination-free work and learning environment by preventing sexual harassment from occurring at UCD through educating the campus community about the issue, and by assisting individuals and campus units to resolve sexual harassment conflicts if and when they arise. In addition, the Program is charged with providing training about sexual harassment issues to all campus members in supervisory roles. Representatives from this campus program can help your TAs understand policy, procedures, and ethics related to sexual harassment.

Student Disability Center
The Student Disability Center works to achieve UCD’s commitment to ensure equal educational opportunities for students with disabilities. An integral part of that commitment is the coordination of specialized academic support services through the Student Disability Center (SDC). The SDC promotes independence and integrated participation in campus life for students with disabilities and ensures the provision of accommodations necessary to allow the students to participate meaningfully in educational opportunities on campus. Representatives from this campus unit can explain disability-related policy to your students and discuss the importance of and methods for creating educational opportunities for all students.

Teaching Resources Center
The Teaching Resources Center has as its primary goal the improvement of instruction at UCD by enhancing teaching and learning opportunities for faculty and teaching assistants. Representatives from this campus unit can help your TAs learn to lead productive discussions, present material clearly (that is, "lecture"), consider teaching ethics, define a personal teaching identity, and prepare a teaching portfolio.
Women’s Resources and Research Center
The Women's Center educates the campus community--students, faculty and staff, women and men--about women's issues and concerns and promotes an understanding of the role and impact of gender in our lives and our society. The WRRC also advocates for women's full inclusion, equality, and advancement. Representatives from this campus unit can help your TAs to recognize the surprising impact of gender in the classroom and to deal with gender-related power dynamics among instructors, TAs, and students. The WRRC also has a fully stocked library with many interesting titles on feminist pedagogy.
Writing in the Disciplines
The Writing in the Disciplines workshop program is designed to help faculty and TAs to integrate writing assignments and writing instruction into their courses. Representatives from this campus-wide program can teach faculty, TAs and readers to design effective writing assignments and exercises, develop and apply coherent grading standards, grade papers and lab reports more consistently, and write comments more efficiently and effectively. They can help train your TAs to coach their students on the process of writing, use writing to stimulate class discussion, and integrate e-mail and newsgroups into discussion and research. The will also present writing workshops for faculty, undergraduate and graduate students in specific courses, programs and departments.
