The Western Center for Agricultural Equipment is a 40-acre site located centrally on the 5,000- acre UC Davis campus.  At the junction of Interstate 80 and Highway 113, the site serves the needs of the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering's agricultural machinery teaching, research, and outreach programs.  The facility is used by to students, the equipment industry, and the agriculture industry as a whole.

The WCAE houses the lecture rooms and lab rooms in which many applied technology classes are taught.  These include courses in metal properties and fabrication, welding, field equipment operation, management, and technology, small farm equipment, and a design and technology course for non-engineering students.  Please see Classes (also in the sidebar to the left) for more information on these classes.
