Revising Scientific Prose (NEM150)
University of California at Davis
This website contains specific information about the course and general information about scientific writing (the Style Syllabus). Because the Style Syllabus should be useful to many people, I intend to keep it on-line but I am not sure about retaining the specific course material (I retired in 2007 and I doubt whether anyone else will teach this course). In case another professor decides to teach Revising Scientific Prose, I will leave the course information on-line for a while.
If you are not interested in the course but are interested in technical writing, go directly to the Style Syllabus Menu for general views about sentences and paragraphs and to the Syllabus Index for links to specific items.

NEM150 partially satisfies the English Composition requirement for students in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and in the College of Biological Sciences (see page 87 of the 2006-2008 Catalog and page 19 of the Catalog supplement).
What will we do in this course?
First Handout and Overview of Assignments (use these to get an overview; I'll hand out revised versions in class.)
