| The limb girdles form the foundation for the movement fo the limbs. The pectoral girdle is connected to the forelimbs (e.g. our scapula and clavicle). The pelvic girdle attaches to the hindlimbs (e.g. our pelvis). Together with our limbs the girdles form the appendicular skeleton.
