This preparation shows the central and peripheral nervous system isolated from a carp. Identify the following structures from the most anterior to the most posterior: olfactory bulb, olfactory tract, eyeball, optic nerve, cerebrum, optic lobe, cerebellum, facial lobe, vagal lobe, medulla oblongata, spinal cord. Note that there are a number of cranial nerves in addition to the olfactory tract and the optic nerve which exit the brain.
