Ductus deferens

DUCTUS DEFERENS (vas deferens). Very thick wall with three muscular layers. Lined by low pseudostratified columnar epithelium. Terminal part thickens to form the ampulla which contains branched tubular glands. The secretion of these glands becomes part of seminal fluid. Beyond the ampulla the ductus deferens decreases in size and unites with the urethra.
