Welcome to intermediate Chinese language at UC Davis. This is the first quarter of second-year Chinese for non-native speakers. Check out the syllabus to see how the course is set up. Then, go to the top of the page and see the lesson-by-lesson preparation guide to find out what you need to do each day. Please note that, prior to the start of each lesson, I may make small adjustments to the assignments for that lesson, but the overall structure will remain the same. Just below the prep guide, the on-line resources have important information as well as games to help you learn. The on-line resources also include a link to free Chinese fonts for Windows, which you will need to read some of the pages. Mac users can get the Chinese language kit bundled in with the most recent version of their OS. Have fun, and if you have any questions, just email me. We have a great year ahead of us.
