Appointments for confidential consultation on instruction are welcome on a one-time or continuing basis, over the telephone, or in-person.

More immediate concerns

Discussion of ideas or problems related to assignments, testing, grading, student behavior, and presentation skills
Information on common practices at UCD, student expectations, and experiences of other instructors
Handling problems in class
Enhancing discussion
Interpreting student evaluation data
Have a consultant visit to your class followed by private conversation about clarity of communication, pace, boardwork, class atmosphere and overall impressions (see Midquarter Evaluation below)
Have your class lecture videotaped and review it either alone or with a consultant

Mid-Quarter Evaluation

Class observation and interview - a TRC staff member attends a class and conducts an interactive 15-minute student survey designed to elicit focused and constructive information.
