  4. Output

  • Difficulty and discrimination index showing item difficulty and discrimination between students who performed well and those who did not.
  • Class response form showing each student's answer for each question (print and/or electronic)
  5.

Options:

  • weight the questions differently
  • remove questions from an exam
  • process multiple versions of an exam
GRADE MANAGEMENT The TRC highly recommends the use of the MyUCDavis gradebook.

  • links to the Registrar's database automatically updating enrollment
  • allows for easy reporting of grades at the end of the quarter
  • allows students to monitor their progress by seeing their grades online (if instructor chooses)
  • See our tutorial to get started
To use Excel, see tutorials: Excel Basics for Grade Management

TEST ITEM DATABASE - MyUCDavis Quiz Builder allows you to

  • print exams for delivery in class (automatically creating mulitple versions)
  • offer quiz questions delivered over the Internet
  • store information about test items (such as its discrimination index)
  • keep track of when you have used which questions
If you teach a class repeatedly, setting up a database may make creating future exams much easier.
