UC21st Century.
Teaching, Learning and Technology: Past, present and future

UC21st

June 20-21st, 2008
Hosted at UC Davis

Faculty, students and staff from across the UC system are being invited to come together to share experiences and ideas about how technology is, and can be, strategically used for teaching and learning. Hear how faculty across the University are addressing today's instructional and student expectations and are shaping an exciting future for faculty and students alike.

The conference program will emphasize student learning outcomes, communication inside and outside of the classroom, and assessment of technology's effectiveness in the instructional process. Although a goal of the meeting is to spark discussion and share best practices, these challenging and uncertain times for the University demand that we also explore ideas for doing things in new ways and opportunities for collaborating more extensively within and across campuses. In addition to input gathered from the campuses, this conference will be informed by the ideas generated by the Instructional Technology Work Group of the Information Technology Guidance Committee ( ITGC). The Work Group's reports can be found on the ITGC web site

If you are able to attend, please also consider presenting how you use or support technology to enable student learning. The system-wide program committee, with support from the UC Teaching Learning and technology Center, is currently gathering ideas for plenary sessions, demos, and posters presentations.

Please click on the Invitation RSVP link above to indicate your interest in attending and topic ideas for presentations, demonstrations, or posters. To be considered by the program committee, presentation proposals are due on 4/7/08.
